Glad to see this topic resurface you bunch of libetarians! Great minds must think alike -detectors and guns. I'm proud to say the Mississippi legislature had given us conceal carry a couple of years ago and in July, open carry in a holster is legal. God bless Gov. Phil Bryant.

Dirty little secret is that open carry is the law of the land...just not polite in a crowd, or understood in heavily populated areas. So to make the sheeples comfortable, it is vigorously DISCOURAGED to several degrees, including unconstitutional laws. Dodge City, my home town, was a rowdy and dangerous place when it was the rail head. Wyatt Earp's claim to fame was the collection of guns at the tracks south of town...to be given back to the cowboys as they staggered back towards Texas. The first progressive Sheriff ah guess.

The Bottom Line is a Unarmed Bunch Can and Will Be Controlled.

Any and All Gun Control Laws are Unconstitutional.

So if you choose to have a Firearm You Should Have one.

Period.

Being a Bad Man with one is a Different Story.

If I remember Right, Robbing Banks and Killing INICENT FOLKS is against the law.

Reminds me of a story my dad tells of a time he was deer hunting with my mom right after they got married. They were walking spread out and he looks over and she's aiming his way and he's thinking o boy what did I do? Luckily for me it was she was aiming at a deer not my dad. She claims it wasn't even close to where he was standing but I don't think he will ever be convinced. Grin
