Go Up Go Down

Some time back I was detecting on private property in a remote area when the Nokta sounded off. Analysis of the target said something like "gold on iron, gold is more: (can't remember the exact words) and so we dug.

Less than a meter down, we hit streaks of iron and gold particles in a very sticky clay. Far from being glad, the land-owner was disappointed as he expected to find WW2 loot and gold bars. If it was my property, I'd be doing the happy dance! I wish to convince him to let us try extracting the gold but I am neophyte in this field. I have never panned for gold before, let alone tackle minerals in sticky clay.

The property is remote and everything has to be carried in on foot. There is a water source nearby. What equipment do I need, and what method of extraction has to be performed? Thanks!

PS. this is one of the reasons why I'm happy with the Nokta NGR's field performance  Smiley

Strange how you found gold particles 1 m  deep.  Also is good to change the Nokta with something better  Wink

I forgot to mention the streaks of minerals are roughly 90 degrees to the water source..a small stream. If anyone has a feasible method of working the gold out from the clay, please let me know.

And don't mind the kiddie trolls who seem to have a chip on their shoulder to anyone who can successfully use a Nokta.

You can get a buck of Ka- or Na - cyanide to dissolve the gold and extract it by electrolysis   Grin
