I'm back.  Joined the local prospectors club...went to their area claim...it was nice to be
in the high desert with pine trees.  I was dry panning....nothing.  A couple of guys from
the group, showed me their method...they built a(clairfyer)shaker box, cool, had a store bought sluice, nice and a built dry-vac motor attached to a bucket.  After 8 buckets of
dirt pulled from the bedrock, they ended up with about and inch of gold flake, it sure was pretty. They said if you don't use water on the last bit of dirt collected, you can easly miss the gold.  So next trip, i'll be taking a shallow pan to put water in.
