New to the site as well as prospecting. I live in upstate New York and have heard there is the possibility of finding glacier deposited gold in local streams. Any thoughts.

Welcome from Arizona. Yeah, there is gold in New York....but whether you can legally keep gold you find in New York or not is another story.
