Yeah BA. A copper mine in these parts yielded an audited 20gm Au/tonne back in the 80's, along with Cu. Been rough-drafting my proposal. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Gold is Gold!

Here Placer Gold is above 20K all the time.

KFC is KFC! But I'll attest that the chicken cooked in Toronto, NYC, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur all taste a bit different from one another. Big Macs however, all taste the same (bland) Grin
Your placer gold over there is a consistent Big Mac. The varying grades of color in this patch is KFC. No telling what combo of metals a volcano will toss out!

Great picture. Can you scratch the gold with your fingernail?

Thanks! No I did not try to scratch it with my fingernail. But I did drop 22k test acid on that patch (it passed) and prod 2 places with a sewing needle. The resolution after uploading as attachment is somewhat decreased, but you can make out the first indent made by the needle at about 9 o'clock on the leftmost large patch (it has a bit of reddish blotch surrounding it), and the second indent is between 2 and 3 o'clock on the rightmost largest patch of color.

I was just curious, mate. I always try to scratch gold with my fingernail when I find it just for giggles. Most of the time it's not pure enough but when it does get a dent, I get excited.

I think my neighbors thought I had lost it, whooping loudly when i saw the dents made by the needle. Hell yeah it got me excited! Cheesy It sure beats the low-karat stuff which is much more plentiful! Wink

You must live in a really good gold bearing area. You always seem to turn up some good gold.

How did that beach area where you panned some color turn out? Seems to me you were working on that a couple of years ago.

That area has got loads of heavies, GD. Unfortunately there are also many crocs of mean temperament which lurk there, and I was forced to abandon that lovely spot after 2 close encounters. Croc may get lucky on the 3rd try.

Can't afford maybe one leg or one arm? Better yet, bring a few sheep along with you.
