Gold can be dissolved with aqua regia.  Teach

Do you know if there is a know method to capture microscopic gold particles and join them as a visible larger gold particle?  Shocked  Idea Let us know if that is possible and how.  Cool

There was something about borax as a flux in melting that was supposed to work really good and was incredibly safe. If you find it before I do be sure and post it on here.

I use borax to put together gold.     Just cover the Gold Dust with it and fire it up. Borax forms a glassy cover and the gold pools into a button on the bottom.

Sounds about right, but if I recall it was actually used to extract from black sands and I believe the borax actually lowers the melting point of the gold... correct me if I'm wrong.

Not lowering Melt Temp, but it sure does help transfer the heat better.    Like oil does to your finger!  LOL!

Whether I in such a way can take gold from pyrites (before crushed)?

Gold in Pyrites is in the molecular level.  Crushing will not get it.   It has to be processed Chemically.

Some Pyrites do in fact carry gold but it's at the Molecular Level.   Gold is distributed throughout The Pyrites Molecules at a time.

Small, Small and Smaller.

Iron, Copper, Silver, and a few other metals have a affinity to Gold.    Most Structures that have these elements in them can and do hold some Gold Content.

One day I ingested 10 copper/Zinc pennies in Nitric and was shocked as to the amount of gold that was present.
