Cheese wiz you mean noboby got any color over the last weekend, well then I don't feel like the lone stranger.  Although I did find out one thing it's not the coolest thing in the world for a senior something dude with a bum knee to be rock hoppin to keep his toes dry.  I didn't fall in but it was touch and go for a moment, my hip waders should be here tomorrow so I can just paddle through the water instead of stepping on wobbly rocks.

Y'all take care out there

I realized in reading many of the forums what a great service many of the members perform while indulging in a great hobby. I live in the Texas Panhandle and we have the distinction of being members of "Tornada Alley". I have seen many people lined up arm to arm walking fields looking for valuables in the debris field after a tornado has swept through. Volunteers have permission and the ability to use their tools to help recover many things that may not see the light of day for years. Just want to encourage those of you that may be bored or interested in helping that you may be able to help out and practice at same time by contacting City halls after a storm and be directed to people that may relish your help on their land. Just FYI

Know how the bum knee thing goes Gramps, no fun there. Wadersforthewin! I panned out the last scraps I had a couple weeks back.  Sad

If I recall you are in Oregon Gramps? Ever try out the mining corridor above Greenpeter Reservior? It's near Sweethome, and Quartzville. I went once but didn't get to spend very much time. Just thought it was nice the state set aside an area just for recreational mining. We need more of that.

Yard work has been taking my free time lately. Got a new place last fall. It was a repo so there is a ton of stuff to cut, clean, move, level....

must make time for gold... we needs the gold...

Wisher, that is one fine thing you are suggesting, I hopr you get lots of vols.

Idaho, nope I haven't been over there as of yet, I joined the NWMPC and they have three claims over in that general area as well as a couple down south and one up in WA so hopefully I'll get into some action this summer.

I'll roger the "we need gold" lots of bright shiny gooold.

I'm thinking I need to make a run up to check the snow line very soon. I'm guessing my lower camp should be all clear. Gonna have a good runoff this year, hopefully it will bring something spiffy down! Smiley

Good luck and be careful out there.

Amen Gramps  Grin

Luckily where I go the "snakes" are few and far between. I carry a big stick just in case though...  Wink
