Go Up Go Down

Hi all,

I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Jorg, I'm 53 years old and I live in West Germany.
As a hobby I collect meteorites, and am active in the Scandinavian Ice Age research.
Minerals I collect less, more interesting rocks.

For a wedding I'm going to the end of June traveling for a few days to Sydenham (Ontario).
Madoc and Kaladar are not far away, so I'm going to look around a bit in the old gold mines.
As a souvenir, I would like to take a few gold flakes home.

I think that I see the prospects finds realistic.
Since I do not have much time available, I ask for information, where most possibilities insist on a little gold leaf.
I thought of panning in Skootamatta River?
Or you've got a better idea?

Friendly greetings in the round.
Jorg

Welcome to the forum Jorg.
one thing i learn over the years is that
"Gold is where ever you find it"
Panning on  a river is a good place to start looking.

If you only have a few days your best bet is to do a outfit that is pay as you go .

Welcome to the forum.  I have to agree with homefire on this one.   If you were going to be in the area for a longer period of time, both of us would probably recommend other options to you.   Based on the mining history and geology of the area that I've seen on line, I agree that's probably a good area, but a local outfit is going to help steer you clear of any possible legal obstacles.
