That's pretty cool. Love the pieces of gold.

Here in New Mexico our gold tends to be small but on the Plus side it's over 98% Gold.   Best I have ever found was 3 Gram nugget.   Years ago I hit a pocket under ONE Rock that gave me  1/4 onze of dusty stuff.   Yep it can be had.

Most Gold tends to be like Course Salt.  Some times a bit of Wire Gold or the chunk here and that.  We have gold up the Wazzzu but not so much a Detector would find.  Ok, a Fisher rning at 70Khz may find some but your other detector are fruitless.    I have found Specimen Gold that wast fine in Grain but yet a puddle in a rock a few times with detectors runing  7 or so Khz or so.  15Khz works around here.   My bottom of the line Garret  S-3 at 15 Khz has found me stuff down to 1/10 gram.   Laugh if you want  my old 360Khz BFO $50.00 peace of stuff I had to Beg my Mother to buy in 1972 found more gold then the pile of detectors I've had.  It all depends on how you use the machine.  The BFO I looked for Black Sands.   Giving a Negitive Reading on it I could mark it out most well.
