Hey , does anybody have any experience, advice about the placer mines, and the validity of there being actual minerals on the said property?

Elmo

I think I would be very careful buying a claim off eBay or any where with out first inspecting them.
During bad economic times treasure and mining scam's are everywhere, before I invest my money I would have a long talk with Homefire he is very knowledgeable about these things.

Ok, good advice,
I have found several online sites , but I just can't see them selling a claim for 2000 when it is supposed to yeild countless thousands, but on the other hand, from what I understand if you get a claim and an rv, your overhead becomes nil. The claim would cost you about 10 bucks a year. You don't actually own the land, it's the BLM's but you have a deed for the mineral rights, which is transferable , and you also have the right to live on it as long as you don't build a structure and do at least 10 hours of mining a year.

Live on it is not true!

Forest lands you can only stay for two weeks at a time.

BLM lands the same.

 Cool

2 weeks at a time?
So if you take your motorhome and stay 2 weeks, then go to town, dump the tanks, fill up with water, go to Walmart and get groceries, then come back and park in another spot for 2 weeks, rinse and repeat ,would that qualify?

That will not work.  There is a limit on how may times a year you can stay.

That area south of lordsburg does has sparse gold in it.

North of Lordburg has Excellent gold on it.

"There is a $249 document transfer fee! This fee is used to defray the cost of BLM fees, county fees, notary fees, supplies, and postage. I will make sure the transfer is done right and smoothly."

It only cost $10.00 to transfer the claim!

 Cheesy

Bad idea. Join a club, it is far cheaper and easier in the long run. Even if gold is 1500+ per ozt. you are not going to get rich. Do it for fun, not work. If you insist on buying your own claim, go to the local prospecting shops and club meatings and talk to people to find out who has what for sale, and whether or not it is worth it.

Cheers

Sean
