Well, it would be nice if you wrote some text into the message field though. E.g. what state you are living in etc. This will help to better answer your questions. Thanks!  Wink

I live in Utah.  Thanks.  took me awhile to see everyone's replies.  My email was moving my notifications to the trash!   Ugh!

Since you live in Utah,Here are a couple of things. If you live in or near the Salt Lake Basin. Get hooked up with "Utah Gold Prospectors Club".
Above Provo is a town called Alpine Up canyon from Alpine is a great prospecting area. Get a USFS map and find "Mary Ellen Gulch" lots of flour gold in the creeks and some picker nuggets too.

Get the video or DVD "Utah Treasure House" well worth the investment and a great historical video.
I lived in Midvale 7200s -700e from 1994 to 1998 and spent my weekends dredging in a few spots. My memory sucks now,but i think the river where mary ellen is,,,is called the american river. There is a great prospecting shop over near the cottonwood area that turned me on to that area above alpine. Check your yellow pages it still should be there..

Go Up Go Down

The Swift River (EastBranch) in Byron Maine. I have been there a dozen times. It is a hard time this year because of all the rain the river never seems to go down. But there is good gold in it.
