Go Up Go Down

Got tired of the cabin fever thing.   Nice and cool today about 80F.    Nice Over Cast.  Made a road trip 20 miles south and check out some old mines in the Tres Hermanas Mtns.    Just me and one of six dogs. NEVER GO WITHOUT A DOG!   Only got accosted twice by Border patrol before getting there.   Checked out some Rock huts miners used for a while but Mr No Shoulders told me that was enough of that.  The mines were primarily Silver/Molybdenum with some gold.

Going Arthritic it seems and Wrist give me stick with my Heavy Detector.  Just brought the old 1970's Garrett S3 running at 15Khz.      Look what made a most cool WOOOOMP sound in the waist pile!   LOL

Sorry for the Photo quality.   If you have ever seen Frosty Crystal Gold on Quartz you will know what your looking at here.  It's chock Full of the stuff.

I'll be going back ASAP!

It was about 6 inches down in the rubble of rock.   Got the Woop sound and started waving rocks over the coil.

Nice going Homie. I hope that you also take a sidearm with you when you go on these little adventures. Take care; I once visited a very old UK copper mine and one would think that you were walking on a solid floor when you enter the mine. It turned out that people were walking on a false floor covered with mine tailings. And of course, the false floor was made of wood and was very prone to rotting. One false step and "OOPS"! :Smiley

Yea, Side arm on side.  Dog finds the snakes and tells me about the guy in the bushes.  We have serious issues with Illegals here.  This place is about 12-15 miles from the Mexican Border.    Border patrol pesters you every time your down there.

Most not all old mine drifts here have what they call BAT Bars on them .  Bat's can come and go but people can't.  They just started doing that in the past ten years.  Messed me up.  Use to camp out in the entrance of a few mines.  It would be 114F outside mid day and the breeze in the mine would be a nice 70F.

Only times you can do any serious work in the mornings or evenings.

Most of the area around here is Ancient Volcano Grounds.    Tons of hot rocks Moderate to High Mineralization.    GT ( Ground Track) would  be good around here but I like Manual.  It helps me know what's  going on.    I like that TDI but we don't have that kind of money in the house.

Yeah I just got a wind fall so im gonna buy these new machines, what would be better in your Area the MXT/VLF or the TDI SL, Baring in mind that The SL model is not quite as Deep as the TDI Pro model, But it is deep and can be used for relics and coins ETC

I'd have to opt for the TDI. Cool
