This just in from the GPAA in their latest newsletter:

Quote:Posted by {author}
"GPAA, its members, Public Lands for the People, Keene Engineering, ICMJ, and many others are working together in support of efforts to fight this legislation in the interests of the mining community. PLP has filed a motion in Federal court to prevent California from attempting to enforce the provisions of the bill."

The GPAA (Gold Prospectors Association of America) has a free newsletter you can subscribe to without being a member and a brand new site. Looks like WordPress to me.

For those unfamiliar with the GPAA, they have a yearly subscription that gets you a mining guide which also includes prospecting sites you can use as a member in 49 of the 50 United States. They also produce TV shows which can be seen on the Nature Channel and the Outdoor Channel. I am a life member.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

The more the merrier. Lawmakers are not the brightest bulbs in the box.
