No offense taken GoldDigger1950. After reviewing my statement I could see how someone might have taken my over-enthusiasm as poking fun. Sometimes there's a thin line between sincerity and sarcasm. Now that all that stuff is clear let's get back to our happy conversation. Smiley
Thanks GD,
kd

I once was contracted to design a device to extract gold from seawater. The experimentation led me to resonance on several occasions and I did personally determine that at resonance all energy is absorbed. Just like in a tuned circuit in electronics. An ideal resonant circuit with no losses will continue to resonate (oscillate) forever since no energy leaves the circuit. As we all know, there is no such thing as a perfect circuit so the losses cause the oscillation to diminish over time. In gold, the resonance occurs only at the precise frequency and only as long as it is being irradiated. At the molecular level though, the gold atom is always at resonance.

Very good! Sometimes a long explanation is better.

How much gold was recovered from sea water?  I have heard of other experiments, mostly producing something like cement!

God has been working on the Earth for a long long time.

I've found Gold 100ft above the River path.

Here in New Mexico and in Arizona some people just don't realize that the same thing happened a long time ago.

The gold was Washed, Eroded and busted out of the Veins a million years ago just like it's being done today.

New Mexico, Arizona was under water at one time.

Over the Million years or so , the Rain, Wind and time has continued to Erode the Rocks.

In south western new Mexico there are Nugget Fields that have little or no indication of where the stuff came from.

The mountains it came from have been worn down to little Nubs of what they were.

A good Detector in the middle of no place is your freind! Wise

I have some pictures....

And a  large error...

Absolutely no gold was recovered from seawater during any of our experimentation. It was a fool's errand, as I originally explained to the client, but he wanted to try regardless. We met every contract goal which was carefully written by me to not guarantee success but to explore all avenues. The reason we tried resonance was to see if we could bunch the free floating molecules into a pocket of them big enough to capture. We energized the seawater using twin focused beams of RF and created a resonance focal point. Theory was that it would attract the gold molecules but they're just too clever. The size of the molecules led us to try using an osmosis filter. Do you have any idea how much gunky stuff is in seawater that is bigger than gold molecules? Yuck. Very cement-like indeed.

It was a failure from the onset, but, as I said, the client believed in his theory and wanted to put it to the test. He's written books on resonance but his theory on gold resonance was a learning experience for him. And for me.

GoldDigger1950;

Since you are a moderator... I have some problems and the report system does not work!

1) the report to moderator link does not work, I get:
Parse error*: syntax error, unexpected '*' in */home/atanua/public_html/smf/Sources/SendTopic.php* on line *249

2) when I tried the email way to contact... I got a return as undeliverable!

So the head honchos can not know what is or isnt happening.

Can you pass it on? Thanks.

This all started over uploading pictures, I got the system generated message that the upload was not allowed because of size... fine, I started over, went back and clicked on modify (no uploads were visible, at this point) reduced the pictures... still nogo, I did it a third time, still no upload and nothing showed at any time.

I went away, checked my pictures, all averaging 150 kBytes, but one, which I had thought was KB was 2.97 MBYTES  - the trouble maker.! OK, so, that fixed, I went back and..... there were pictures that were not supposed to be uploaded! Duplicates of one and triplicates of another.

What we need, in the modify, is a way to remove pictures from the upload menu and/or remove them from the post (modify) if they do get loaded multiple times.

Goldigger, as far as e-mail to me, I don't publish my address here but I believe you already have it.

I've noticed the lack of capability to delete pictures too. The SMF (Simple Machines Forums) module in use either has a switch not set to allow deletions or doesn't have that feature at all.

Moderators can only moderate posts. You need to contact Christian, the only administrator, to tell him of these issues.

I already noted that but there does seem to be a random bug in that those boxes to check and the list of attachments is not always present during the Modify feature.

Delete? Wazzat? I have never saw a delete, where does it hide?

A very important button, for sure!

I did try delete, but it did not delete!
