good detector for gold?

Some of the other guys, on the forum, have good ideas, on what is the best for finding gold, some say Minelab, others say something else, and I have never tried any of them. My detectors are very simple, and cheap, but I have never found nuggets, with any of them, so those guys could be right.

If you can find small coins or lead shot , your machine should work for nuggets.

I have 3 detectors, a cheap Radio Shack, a Prizm and a Bounty Hunter. The Bounty Hunter and Prizm do good at finding coins but the only time I took one of them to the mountains, I found a spark plug, a bottle cap and a wheel nut from somebody's truck...... there may NOT have been nuggets there.

I have more success at finding nuggets in a pan.
