Hi everyone! I need to ask if Charles A. Kenworthy is still alive today? I have started reading a book written by him. I know he is quite an author and treasure hunter, or was. I'm just curious. Thanks for any info about him. Everybody have a good one.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the reply and I was afraid of that. I suppose we will never know about how real these treasures are. I enjoy reading these stories but I don't think I will be quitting my job to go treasure hunting! Ok Mike many thanks and I wish you much good hunting and hope you find the big one!

Hi Mike, well one must be able to not give away any secrets if he has found a nice treasure. Maybe Kenworthy did indeed find the big one. It would be quite an experience to make a big find, of course the natural inclination is to start saying "hey look at what I found!" I know there are a few Mexicans going back into Mexico looking for gold and silver coin and bullion. I get an inquiry from time to time from them on what would be the best detector for what they are seeking. Ok Mike hope to chat again and good hunting.

I have three of Kenworthies books and find them basically useless for finding Jesuit treasures which would be most of what is left out in the fields.
There are countless caches waiting to be recovered, however they are mostly Spanish Jesuit buried mining proceeds plus silver plate, pearls and even drugs and arms. They were secretely obtained by the Jesuits and secretly buried by the Jesuits, so the Spanish authorities of that time from whence Kenworthy obtained his information from legal archives would have no specific knowledge of the rigid Jesuit rules of concealment. Kenworthies books were not a waste of money,
 but not vitally important.
AS a dowser of 26 years I have looked down at countless Jesuit caches at an average depth of 9 feet barring cliff faces and hillsides which they preferred, noted countless above surface clues which never vary from one batch of caches to another re methods of burial, and have you noticed that most controversy  over rock markings are situated on hillsides?however we are nearing the end of our 4th year of non dowsing activities, with a law of average estimating that there will be dowsing atmospheric conditions before 2012. I wish I didnt know as much about the subject as i wouldnt be so frustrated. Max

I had some good pictures of spanish monuments I wanted to give to him.   His wife wrote back to me that he had died in 1995.   His books live on.  They're worth buying for your library.
     Good Hunting!
