When I was a teenager, I was in tha Sons of Confederate Vetrens.
Arkansas was one of tha few outfits in tha Civil War that used tha
old Napolian 3 pound cannon. One of tha guys in our regiment had
one of those cannons. That's how I know what a canister shot cup
looks like for one of those cannons.

I found this at tha bottom of a hill where the Confederates had
artillery set up at a crossing at tha Arkansas River at Little Rock,
Arkansas.

They are very rare. Don't expect to find a pic of one, but if you do,
please share it with me.

Sounds like a very rare find!

You must have been proud of that discovery!

Just a note.

The old Nepolian cannon was from tha Revelutionary War.
I am sure that the rounds for the cannon were made somewhere
not too far from here.

It was just a foot note in tha war, but interesting to me because
I am a Arkie,
