Can you make a rubbing on the oval buckle and the old beat up one at the bottom?  I think you have a couple of Brittish Artillery buttons [three canons] and two US coin type things that I have found but I don't know what they are.  Thanks for sharing.

Hi Joe,
The oval buckles have no high relief on them they are just plain so a rubbing wont help, the other one that is US Iwll draw a pic of what is visable and maybe you cpould help ID it, it was avery ornate buckle and how it got so badly damaged is unclear.........I will post you a pic of the drawing soon....HH.....Johnnn
Hi Joe,
My apologise I for got ONE of the two "oval" objects is a "shakko" plate US and yes I will give you a rubbing from that piece, I do have two identical "plain" crossplate buckles but they are not in this pic.....Johnnn

Wow these are awesome!! I am glad to have stumbled onto the site. I have spent the first 30 mins alone searching your posts as your finds are right up my alley, and of course they are from Ontario, which adds to the appeal for me.

Hi Johnnn. I will post up some pictures when I get back to my room where my hard drive is located.

In the UK huh? Well I hope you find something nice over there!!

I am currently in Afghanistan...I would much rather be back home, or in the UK
