Below are a couple recent pictures of items found on our trip described in the Treasure Hunting Articles archive called: The French Collection.
 
       The shovel is from near a gun emplacement probably lost and left on the French retreat from Spain in the Napoleonic wars.  I should probably put a handle on it and use it to dig for bottles or something.
       The shovel and canteen are from a WWI battlefield.  They were lying right on the surface of the ground.

Nice..I have seen several French Canteens for sale on ebay.but I never trust where they claim to come from...you gotta find it yourselve!!
