This lock is from a site where sailing ships had been broken for years. Supposedly a prison ship met its end there when it became beyond repair.

Site, apart from containing hundreds of small bits of copper also had a good range of coins, bits of spoons etc but very few copper nails.

I like iron. Largest iron find is a near six foot cannon which took some moving.

Keys/locks make good wall displays and cause little trouble after sandblasting unlike bronze and copper that can be a nightmare with bronze disease.
