Pictured below are some mining tools I have found.
I especially like the iron pick with the blacksmiths identification marks on it. Now and then you can find iron implements with identification markings.
The long piece,I am told, is a miner's spoon. After drilling out a hole in a rock this long spoon was used to scoop out the bits of rock falling into the hole.
