Hi All,
We decided to go to one of our WW1 sites as there wasn't as much snow there.
It was a beautiful day picked our way around the snow I got a very nice 1910 "fishscale" 5c piece this coin is silver and Canada's smallest.
The usual shell casings most are dated 1914 a general issue Canada military button two "US Wheat pennies" bottle openers the one on the right I found at almost the same location as the one on the left on a previous visit.
Next week I am going to an 1812 site..............HH  Johnnn

Very Nice!!! I'm hoping to get out tomorrow for an hour or so.  Today was beautiful outside but had to take care of inside stuff.  Look forward to more....

I got out yesterday for the first time in 2010. Ground in NH is still frozen in spots & still snow covered in the woods but cabin fever and temps in the 50s took control and I just had to get out and play in the dirt. Hit the local elementary school ballfield simply because it wasn't frozen and came up with 77 cents in modern coins. 1 clad quarter, 5 clad dimes (3 in one hole) and 2 memorial cents. Not gonna get rich that way but it still felt really good to get out after the long winter. Other guys on the local forum I belong to reported finding 1800s silver & copper on the local beaches after the big wind storms we had last week but I missed that party and the sand is all back on the beach & the old stuff is gone until next time.
