Hi All,
I am an avid camera carrying detectorist,as most of us are this is a bonus for us all as we can now share what we did in real time.
I don't just take pics of coins and stuff I like to catch some nature also.
Well its like this as I have just found you guys I have hundreds of pics so I will post them and explain as best I can recall how they came about.
I have hundreds of buttons from this era some still under preservation I can if there is interest take close ups of some of the reg's
they were found over many years of detecting.
The coins just come along and are always a buzz when one does turn up.
More later..............Johnnn

I agree with Mike! A very impressive collection of silver coins! How old is the oldest coin?

Best wishes,

Christian

The large coin is 8 Reals or piece of 8 it is dated 1810 its condition is really good it has only seen 2 years of circulation, the other large coin is 1807 US half dollar which had only seen 5 years of circulation,
the cliped coin is a 2 real piece 17?? I suppose thats how you got change back then "cut the coin in half" the 3 small coins top left are 1 real pieces oldest is 1789, the large silver coin top is an 1877 "bullion" dollar with a hole drilled through it and has no attachment to 1812 along with the others,we find so many US coins in this location but they all are below 1942.
Thanks for looking..........Johnnn
