Looked it up in a dictionary but couldn't find it. Must be a word in some  langauge other then english.

      "Fibel" is what the Germans call a big bronze Roman sort of a safety pin.  It was most often used at the neck to hold a garment from falling off the shoulders.  I think the real name is fibula.  Christian display one somewhere at one time.

Yes, I think the English term is "Fibula" maybe it is also the original Latin writing for which there might not be an idiomatic translation.
