The first item has been ruined by my dads friend who thought it would be a good idea to get a brass wire brush on it to clean it up  Club  NOT happy!! I think its a barrel tap?? And the other pieces are like roman bits ive seen before. All these were found on the new part of our golf coarse before it was turned into the back 9 holes. I do have more things id like verified but dont want to flood the site with my rubbish Huh? ! Thanks  Clapp  Smiley   Detecting

If this is an example of your "rubbish", we'd be more than happy to see more of it.

Yes, a barrel tap - and a pretty nice one by the way! I think it is not Roman but more recent (maybe 100 - 400 years old) ... but very very nice. Excellent finds!

Regards,

Christian

Hi,

the barrel tap could be dated in the 17/18 century. Also the buckle at the right is from that time. The other two items could be roman but i am not sure.
