Do you think this cable could be used with a digital Side Scan Sonar?

Has two 16 gauge wires, and 2 pairs each pair shielded of what seems like 20 gauge wires with ground wire for each pair. Cable has "Desert Star Systems LLC" printed on jacket.

Length 300 meters. Diameter about 1 cm.

Regards,

Christian

Hello and Welcome to our forum!

I bought this cable off eBay and according to the manufacturer of the Yellow Fine Side Scan Sonar it should work fine. What cable length do you currently use? The standard 23 m cable will make the towfish go woobly. Infact the longer the cable, the more stable it will be.

Regards,

Christian
