tabdog, I'm new here but not new to metal detecting-been at it 25 years---and I thought you posted some dang good info and advice on here....I believe you'd be better off staying around--and it looks like many others agree------why let someone else run you off---stand your ground and stick around---maybe you and golddigger could peaceably Great

agree to disagree on certain issues. Some folks just aren't going to get along and agree on every issue or matter and that's how life is...but that don't mean you ought to leave the forum---apparently, there's plenty folks that would rather you stay... Great

First of all I want to make this absolutely clear. TabDog has blamed me for posts made by the OTHER goldigger and has completely lost the plot. This confusion of names and users was identified to him both in posts and by PM. He's blaming the wrong guy here but if he chooses to leave, I wish him farewell and happy hunting. Always.

TabDog and I have only had two disagreements on this forum that I know of. One was the Ace250 feature that I told someone about and the other is the gold and gold alloy tarnish issue.

The first was documented by me and another user by actually testing it on an Ace250. When we both insisted it worked as I described, TabDog disagreed and made noises about leaving the forums. Believe it or not, the other guy left and I apologized and dropped the discussion just to keep the peace.

As to the tarnishing of gold alloys, I stand behind physics and the science of metallurgy. For that, I need not apologize.

On several occasions, TabDog has cited a post by goldigger and yelled at me for what he did. There does seem to be confusion, Christian. I have pointed out those occasions to him and other users have as well. If he chooses to leave, he should man up and say it is because it is his choice to leave. As others here have pointed out, the ignore button works.

Well, when GoldDigger1950 is done, I may make a comment but until then there is no point and I do not wish to belabour the obvious.

Tabdog sent me a long, friendly, PM, today or yesterday, to which I could not answer, because, I see now, he has left the forum, I think it was a bad decision but it is his choice... maybe he will be back after the fallout settles. I hope so. Shocked

And yes, I think GoldDigger1950 did, more or less, start the problem by jumping me, for being off topic which I was not, exactly, because of my response to a prior post, which GoldDigger1950 may not have read. It really does not matter at this late date.

I really do not want to change my name as I have been using goldigger since 1975, when it started out as a CB handle, however, I may have to, in order to keep from being confused with all the other diggers, not just GoldDigger1950, on this forum. How to change a name? I do not have a clue.

When people let this kind of thing make them angry then they need to look long and hard at themselves. I joind this forum as an other I was in was rapidly becoming a political tirade against the current administration and nothing to do with MD. I'd like to keep the peace and suggest both of these folks simply disappear and reappear as an other name and go on from there. Fight

If peoples credibility is questioned we can all use the ignore feature and simply let the unhappy individual's post scream to a vacuum Funny

So far most of what I've seen here is ok with a few exceptions where facts and fiction seem to be mixed in peoples heads. Anyways.. I would like to keep both members and remind them to check there ego's on sign in. No no!

We can all benefit from wisdom but strife and tirades get old..... Wise

I was not going to make another post,,,,,, but this
morning I lurked in to see if anything has changed.

There is no confusion between Goldiger and Ray
(Golddigger 1950)

Ray has been told by me and Christian that there
is no confusion, and he continues to lie and blame
Goldiger. (that is low)

Goldiger is a real nice person. He does not deserve
this!

This is the first I have tried to take on a troll. I have
failed.

Ray is an internet Troll. He has been run off of
other forums for lying and putting members down.
He really caused some discontent.

Just to give you an idea, Ray(Goldigger1950) has
said that he is an expert with metallurgy, he taught
jewelry making for 6 years, he was a "professional
magician" for 30 years, he is an electrical engineer,
he found $100 metal detecting in a yard in one day
when another fellow only found 40 cents in the same
amount of time.

There are many more great things he said he
accomplished, I got tired of reading them.

He also said he had a military career and he was a
war hero in Viet Nam. (that really sucks)

He accomplished all this and more in about 32 years.

If you do the math, it is obvious he is a fake.

He is a self proclaimed expert on everything and just
loves to put people down.

I have been portrayed as the problem. But, I am the
result of a real problem here on Thunting.

I have been dressed down. If I ignore Ray, he can
do what ever he wants to me because he is a
moderator and I am not.

I just can not stay. Can not stand it.

I am just a hobbyist doing this for fun. The fun is gone.

I am sorry.

I would like to stay if I could, but I know when my time
is up,

Mods are just users that are there to offer help and advice to other users, and to keep a bit of order on the forum, HOWEVER, THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ABUSE THAT POWER, and I am sure Golddigger1950 wouldn?t attempt to do so anyhow !!
So, I don?t think you have any worries on that score, as any Mod that did that would quickly lose thier Mod status and probably end up getting banned.
ADMIN take all final decisions on a board, and can only be guided by Mods, but will always take a look thierselves before taking any decissions.
So, just hit that IGNORE button, and stay on the board.

My final words to this: Tabdog you are pointing your finger at another member but at the same time 4 fingers are still pointing towards yourself!

I have asked you plenty of times to point out to me where another member offended you but you failed to show me this. Instead you started calling me names and putting me down for no reason.

Tabdog I think you have a big problem with your ego.

This place is about helping other people and not about playing ego games.

You are registered on most other treasure hunting boards so I would suggest you simply stop visiting this forum and spend your time elsewhere.
