It was 100% my fault.  I was performing some maintenance on the site and in the process inadvertently used a ' in a query instead of a `.  It's amazing what havock can be wreaked by such a small mistake.  It was only after the database was hosed that I realized the the most recent backup i had was corrupted, so we had to revert back to an old backup.  I should have checked the validity of the backup prior to mucking around with the database, but I didn't  Violent.  I apologize to all the members and staff and will be putting safeguards in place to prevent this from happening again.
