When a Moderator or Admin sees a post that should be acknowledged with a Thank You, if we use the button, it allows others to use it but only on the first topic post. According to Christian (the board owner), this was intended to keep 100 (exaggeration) thank you messages from being posted when someone writes a very helpful post or adds a useful download.
