I just wanted to say "Hello" to everyone. Hello

I have not started detecting, haven't decided. If I do, what would be a good detector without being to expensive?

I had a detector back in the late 70's and used it all the time. I found all types of coins, a gold horse reigns holder for a doctors buggy and a lot of junk.

I live in northern Anderson County, SC. Hope to hear from some of you.

Welcome from New Mexico.

I do not recommend any type of detectors because there is a tool for every job.

What type of hunting you choose ,  Water,  Relic,  Coins,  Gold Nuggets,  etc all come to play.

And then there is the Money you can afford.

I you just want to get back into it without breaking the bank Garrett, Bounty Hunter , Tesoro and Whites all make Fine lower end machines.

I think at the old detector I use to have may have been a White, sounds right anyway. I will be looking for coins, jewelry, etc. But I would like to get into looking for gold. I know their have been several old gold mines in the upstate of SC in the past, maybe I can get very lucky and find some that have been overlooked. I have been looking at the Garrett machines and the Bounty Hunters. I would like to get one that I can change the coil to detect gold.
