Looking at a Garret 250.  Will probably be o.k. with it as a starting MD.  Don't really want anything too complex yet and it is in my budget.  The company I am looking at buying from offers as an additional deal a Automax Precision V4 pinpointer for "only" 19.95 shipping fee if I buy it along with the Garret.  Does any one know if they are just trying to get rid of some usleless stock or is this really worth the 170.00 value they claim?

Hm, would this site be Kellyco.com? I've bought from there about a dozen times.  I've seen that same deal, but I have not bought it.  They usually have big sales all the time, I suppose its up to you if you want to spend the extra 20 bucks or so.  Hope this helps a little bit. Wink

the 250 is an awesome md,bud of mine has pulled everything from gold to indian heads with it,harbor freight sells a pinpointer for about 15 bucks.is it a new or used garret?

New.  It comes with all this stuff as well from the company I will buy it from.  I'm sold on the 250 for the price.  It's the 19.95 for shipping for "170.00" valued pinpointer that I'm curious about.

If all you get  is the PP  ,,I would go with the other deal"s  they come with an  extra coil ,digger ,pouch etc
