Hello . If this machine is waterproof to 120 feet , if it comes with waterproof headphones and if it is a VLF 2.4 khz then $49 u.s. dollars at wal-mart is a great price !!! A Lot of "ifs"  Shocked

Hello . I read 4 customer reviews so far and only 1 is good . I believe this Neptune MD6000 is a poor copy of a Fisher 1280x . If the performance was better it would be a Hot-Seller and of-course the price would be much higher . At $49 dollars ,definitely a good machine to buy , take a part and Modify !!!.......I will do some more research on this one . Thank-You for posting this topic .

I feel in the case of an underwater detector that is 50 bucks or less can't be much good just do to the environment a must be exposed to.

I think customer reviews need to be taken with a grain of salt. Many end-users swing a detector for a first time, find nothing (because they may not really understand there machine), then give a negative review.
