Garrett ACE 250 (how good is it compared to other detectors)

Hi,

I think both machines work well but I would suggest you consider buying your son the Garrett Pin Pointer before worrying about  upgrading his detector. I bought my boys pointers to help them identify their digs and shorten their recovery times. What it also did was keep them motivated to search more just to use the pin pointer again.. lol

I can't recommend it enough because kids can dig up nails, glass shards and other sharp objects without thinking. The pin pointer can identify hard to find items quickly but also spare inexperienced diggers from painfull injury too.

  i im new to metal detecting but i have read many reviews on detectors and the garret ace 250 has always seemed to have positive remarks good luck.
