Hi
I am interested in buying a gold metal detecter to be used in Sudan. Gold is mixed with sand and some times with rocks. I looking for some advice about the best metal detector to buy.
Thanks

Fisher  Gold Bug 2 is most cool running at 71 Khz.  It can find a fly poop of gold down to 6"..

If you want to go deeper, you need a PI unit.

What kinda ground are you looking at?

Red Clay?  Salt?  I need to know what your dealing with before I Can suggest a unit.

I have a Bounty Hunter Platinum metal detector and even though it is used as an all-around detector,
it will detect a .01 ounce gold flake up to 3" deep with the 8" standard coil.
If I was rich enough to have a larger gold nugget, I'm sure this 8" coil will go
a lot deeper. I can detect a penny, nickel, dime and quarter between 9"-11".
