I'm sure this has probably been asked before, but I just had to ask it.  I personally own a Garrett metal detector, but I feel that I am aiming to buy a new metal detector.  I know that this is probably very opinionated, but I'm just wanting to compare metal detectors.  What do you think is the best all-around detector out there? If I were to be buying a new detector, what would you suggest?

I think my DBP 2010 PI metal detector beats everything and should be equal to the Pulse Star . But then who am I to make this statement .  Cornelius

I'll check into them, and read about them.  Any said metal detectors are worth looking into.  I also noticed that it seems that the Garrett Ace 250 is quite popular.  But, that is just based off of reviews I've seen and such.  Again, just opinion.  I just wanted a list of good detectors and would look into them.  Thanks for your input.

MI   The DBP2010 is not available from any manufacturer . It is a home build project for the advanced builders . The result is unbelievable .  Maybe I will start a line to produce this detector .  Cornelius

I found the Pulsestar, but as you said I couldn't find anything on the DBP2010.  Hey, if it does that good I'd say go for it. Wink Sounds interesting, I would consider looking into it myself.

I gave all my material to   Eugene 52  .  If you can build this detector , ask him for the schematics etc etc .  Cornelius

I would say find out what the old pros are using at the beach. Whites high end machines are hard to beat.

Vast question.

The answer will be modulated in function of WHAT you want to find and WHERE you want to search.

That being said, the more expensive units are not always the best ones under some specific search conditions.
