What was your favorite Compass metal detectors? I owned a Compass Coinscanner Pro and it was a really nice machine. I had a buddy who used the Goldscanner(Didn't have meter). That detector could easily find 9 to 10 inch deep minie balls on our relic hunts. Some folks said the Goldscanner Pro (With meter)was one of the best detectors ever made---maybe it was? They claim it had excellent depth and was good in trash. I know lots of coin and relic hunters liked it. I've heard that the company is up and running again and they are making several of those good units again. Someone also told me that quality control isn't as good as it used to be--I was told some of the units aren't coming out as well made as they once were and quality varies from unit to unit. Maybe just hearsay? Maybe not?
