I'm finding the big coil on the MP3 is a bit of a challenge for target identification on small targets.  But I have an idea and if it works I'll use the detectocam to demonstrate.

Its been hard to use in trashy areas...or should I say "busy" areas that have alot of stuff in the ground.  I'm counting on it in some other wide-open places that have been less used to cover more ground.

Anyway, it has a signal strength indicator on it which should tell me when I'm right over the target.  Then I thought I would tie some string on the coil in the shape of an X to further lock in on the target.  When the cross hairs are on the target at the greatest signal strength I should be on it!

Pat I've used mine in areas that it sounds like a machine gun when you swing it and it still finds things, when really i

should have used a smaller coil and you will see the depth increase,

but like you say it dose take some getting use to

Pat the reason you are gettin two tones on 1 item is because pull tabs are a blend of metals so your machine ie IDing
all of the different metal in the aluminium  and on steel you will get the same effect because of the shape of the items
you are finding, your machine is working great and that shows how sensitive it is, so be wise with the power, meening
be careful cranking up the juice, Thanks again for another great video,
