I did not want this to be buried deep in another thread.  The MP3 from Kellyco has a 2 week parts and labor warranty with Kellyco.  After two weeks, you will be charged $99.00 for the first hour of labor and $80 for each additional hour of labor.  ONLY THE DEFECTIVE PART HAS A 5 YEAR WARRANTY, NOT PARTS AND LABOR.

I just read this on my new MP3 warranty sheet from KELLYCO.   They are the warrantor.

My FISHER Goldbug has 5 years parts and labor

My Bounty Hunter has 5 years parts and labor.

My MP3 has 5 years PARTS ONLY, $99.00 + $80.00 PER HOUR Service Charge For Labor.

IF A KELLYCO TECHNICIAN CAN FIX YOUR MACHINE IN ONE HOUR, EVEN IF IT IS THEIR DEFECT, IT WILL COST YOU $99.00.

THEY DO NOT STATE THIS ON THEIR WEBSITE.  THEY SAY THE MP3 HAS A 5 YEAR WARRANTY.  VERY MISLEADING.

I'm gonna take my chances because I want the detector.  If it breaks I'll by a name brand to replace it and then I'll spend the rest of my life trash-talking MP Technologies and Kellyco until they come clean on the website about their warranty.

Send it back Pat thats just plain dirty, get a fisher f4 or 5 surely they cant do that where does consumer rights stand here
they can't do that coz when they advertize they don't say that part and thats false advertizing ( theft by default ) som@*#"@

It says 5 year limited warranty, and then on a secondary page in itty bitty print it says if you would like more information on this warranty, call kellyco. Very ambiguos. Then when you get the detector you get the bad news.

Pat I understand how you feel about this but a $179.00 anymore and you might as well buy a new one .
I stand by all my work without any limit unless they wreck it of coarse but I'm lucky because i really enjoy my work and take pride in it
