Are there any others out there that are using the MP series detectors and how are they working for you?

I got a MP Pro for Christmas and am very pleased with it considering the price. I have dug over 2000 coins with it so far and the more I learn the machine the better I am doing. It's Id system is not fool proof and its depth display goes crazy around power lines and underground utility cables but it still functions properly if I turn down sensitivity a little.
Im quite sure a top of the line machine would probally out perform it but for the price it is a very competent machine.  Detecting

Hello Steve,

isn't the MP a German PI machine? Not sure if I recall it right.

Best wishes,

Christian

I tried an MP3 Pro here in Oregon.  It wouldn't work on my ground.  Every single rock would make it beep.  Not sure if it was a defective unit or just not a good preset ground balance for my area.  I do know an ACE 150 worked fine in my soil with it's fixed ground balance.  I really like the build quality of the MP3 Pro.  It is probably a very good detector for someone with more mild ground.  I actually felt rather down that I had to send it back.  The MPX has automatic Ground balance.  Maybe that would have worked better for me.  What states do you all live in?  Just curious about your ground conditions.
