Has anyone tested one of these new metal detectors yet ? The general purpose model runs at 14 Khz. They are around $699.00 us dollars on sale.   Also, I thought I saw a Gold hunting model ??   Please post anything you know and if they are any good !!
Best Regards.........Eugene

Have been running one off and on for a few months. Good unit with some nice features. Has really good depth and does very well in heavy iron. My only complaint was foil would register from 40 - 60 and give a solid type signal rather than the scratchy tone most units give off on foil. Not a deal breaker but if you are looking for gold them be prepared to dig ALOT if foil.
Mine is actually up for sale at the moment since I have recently purchased a CTX 3030 and have been dedicating most my time to running that and my E Trac and the racer just sits there.

Excellent detector. Works great in trashy sites running the 5"coil. I bought mine used with the Makro 2.4 Ghz wireless headphones. Headphones work great with it.
