The chinese have cloned every metal detector the USA has made.Trouble is they generally work just as good.I've used some of them clone of whites and Garretts, haven't tried a minelab clone yet but its out there just didn't want to drop any more money on them.

Are they really as good as the real ones?  The Chinese have an enormous reputation for making low quality knock-offs.  Are they as durable and as long lasting as the real ones?  And do you really want to put more of your and our (U.S.) money into China and take it away from our own legitimate manufacturers and workers!  Not me!  No no!  Angry

The green box knock off(china) of a classic 111 whites is as good as a whites classic 111 just as deep and dist price was 89$ and dealer price was 125$ they now sell for 189$. The other detectors are made in tennessee I believe it is and they make 4 or 5 models kinda like the B.H. cheepies but they are american made and fairly deep. not as deep as a minelab etc but not bad for the price and made here in the USA.Google and u will find them (made in Tenn I believe).I've owned the classic111 and used the Garrett 500 knock off good but from china. They also make a Minelab knock off too.

That's the 64 dollar question.  I have used a few knock offs and they seemed to be OK but think I will stick to Made in the USA
