Video from a Canadian user of the Golden King Plus detecting through rock. No measurement of the rock was given, I estimate the thickness to be under 2.5 feet. Looks like this new model has 20-25% greater depth than my older NGK.

Another vid of the same user getting a weak signal through 88cm of rock. And I disagree with his assumption that this detection implies the machine will detect through 15 feet of earth.

Embedding youtube links doesn't seem to work today. Anyways, here's a vid of a Nokta user seemingly upset because his big coil won't detect small objects.

Hobbyist,

Maybe he don't know the proper ground balance. To prevent this happen to me after performing a ground balance I always checked if the machine can detect my sample metal to make sure that the machine have no problem before I use for searching. But never happened to failed at the top of soil.

Hi Vourvon. Kumusta ka? (How are you?),

I was hoping you'd pop up! Yes it could be an improper ground balancing, or another factor like the sens turned down to near zero! :Smiley We have to keep in mind that there is at least one party with a personal grudge against Nokta after his dealership was withdrawn due to unpaid debts.

But let us put that aside....

The replacement detector which Nokta sent you after the battery fire is a newer model than mine. I had estimated that the machine used in the video of detecting thru rock was 20-25% more powerful than the older NGK (which I still use). As you have experience with both older and newer models, can I trouble you to run a quick test to see if that estimate is in the ballpark?

There was one more user of the NKG Plus in my town, and I had been trying to get in touch with him for purposes of comparison. Unfortunately last year I met one of his men who informed me that his boss had passed on due to liver cancer. May he rest in peace. I know you are busy, so please do not rush to make the test. Take care!

Hobbyist,

Yes I'm busy because one of my relative with Double Magnum is my partner my machine Nokta Golden King and TM808 with IconData Logger now is available for rental and the fund is used for my project (tunnel) and your request is easily to do it during my travel. Once I checked I will post here the result. I need to do it 1st before one of my friend want to buy my old Nokta and I will sell it because I want to buy a geo examiner. Take care too.
