That's not really fair, Christian. OKM does make some products that have earned your dislike but their magnetometer does what it was designed to do. If someone here bought one without knowing the limits of the machine, it seems to me that the fault likes with that individual.

For the original poster asking the question, the data coming from the machine can be stored into a spreadsheet if you save it in comma delimited format. Alternatively, you can commission someone to design an analysis program for you and make a bundle selling it as an aftermarket add on.

Hello, GD, well the magnetometer does what a magnetometer is supposed to but not what OKM says it is capable of. Besides they used to advertize it as a GPR which is juts plain wrong and misleading.

They do make a GPR, Christian. They also make dowsing equipment. Their opening advertisement indicates that they have a detector for all purposes. Strictly speaking, I suppose they do. In their specific detailed listings, they list the capabilities accurately.

OKM is not my favorite company either. They charge way too much for equipment that largely disappoints. Just look at the issue here of proper operating software. A magnetometer can find a wooden shipwreck's anchors, cannons and munitions very accurately. By default, if there is gold found on the wreck, I expect that they are able to claim that their equipment was responsible for "finding" the gold. My metal detector finds metal. When it finds that metal known as gold, it has detected gold but in truth, I am the one that put the detector there and actually "found" the gold.

GD, sorry mate you are worng on this. They DO NOT produce any GPRs hence they can not sell any either. OKM is one of the greates rip off companies there is. They started publishing a treasure hunting zine by taking stills of 3rd party documentaries and writing up 101% bogus stories ... not the way to go.

Perhaps you should check again.

Their ad for this model is quite straight forward.

At the very beginning, they list all of the general types of products that they manufacture. The don't say that THIS model is a GPR model though. They are quite clear as to what you are getting and what it can do.
