Well, we know Homefire is going to swear by it.  What sort of price are you looking at delivered to SA?   Based on US prices, I'm thinking your comparables will be the Tesoro Compadre, a Fisher F2, a White's Coinmaster,  or a Garrett Ace 250 (with the Fisher and the Garrett running a bit more than the others).

Most of the complaints have heard about Bounty Hunters are about poor quality workmanship on some of the older detectors.  If it has been manufactured in the last couple of years, it should be pretty good.   Besides, think about your previous detectors and ask what you're comparing it to.

Well I'd have to compare it to my home made detectors. I'm also comparing to the AT pro not that I have ever used one but form what I have head about it.  Then there is the price the Ace 250 is about R6800 but the Bounty is only R4700 (these are not true figures but in the region of)

Personally, I'd find a way to spring for the AT Pro if I could do it without going on starvation rations---but that's just me.   Like I said, I haven't heard nearly as many quality complaints about Bounty Hunter in the last 2 or 3 years as I heard 4 to 7 years ago.

The crazy part of this offer is that the detector cost itself is never the issue overseas. It's postage and customs that can nearly double the cost.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Bounty hunter is Ok for coins and stuff for sure.   I do have my eyes on the AT PRO   or a Gold Bug.

Yep, the few trinkets I have sent to SA makes you think more then twice.

By the way!     Your Rocks should be there in a Month or Two.    LOL
