It doesn't "ground balance" in the traditional sense. It does so because it never sees the ground no matter what it is composed of. It sends out a pulse which "charges" the surface of metals with an eddy current that is far greater than that developed by a VLF/TR and that is because of the pulse polarization. Then the coil "reads" the strength of those currents.

There are about a dozen good books out there on the subject or you can visit the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) and look up some patents on the subject.

That is what I thought and understood,  so why then is a PI good for black sand but not for mineralised gold prospecting land? was I right with regards to the iron mineralisation and are hot rocks something completely different?

Read the Link about Hot Rocks again.   Who told you a PI was not good for mineralised  ground?

With the Use of the Conductivity Switch My PI Can and Does wipe out the metals that I choose with the help of the Delay control and by Tweaking the Ground Balance setting, And By Advancing the Delay from 10us to 13 to 15 I can make hot rocks Vanish,

A PI will work Well In Mineralized Ground hence why ML machines and A Few Others are used In Australia
