Whites CM BFO, BH Pioneer 202, Harbor Freight 9 function

First, I have been an active metal detectorist for 53 years, and in that span of time have owned and used many different machines, some were bad, others were great, from top of the line to budget models. I bought a Harbor Freight 9 function metal detector Memorial Day weekend using a 25% off coupon which including tax came to $39.32 out the door. I have really been impressed with the capabilities of this simple low cost metal detector, and have found over $44 with it to this point. It operates on 6 AA batteries, which I finally had to change after 60 hours of use. These were Thunderbolt brand batteries carried by Harbor Freight, come in a 24 pack, and were free with the purchase of the detector. These are basically bottom of the barrel batteries, chloride zinc type, and not alkalines. I keep accurate records of my finds, time of use, and gasoline expense, and now only have to find $9.95 to pay off this amazing unit. I have done several videos on this machine including a head to head comparison with my Bounty Hunter Pioneer 202, and the Harbor Freight 9 function beats the 202 in recovery speed. This is a video of when I replaced the first set of batteries after 60 hours of machine use. Enjoy!   Detecting

Good Deal .    Charge up the cell phone .  Under contacts try  calling a few of the most called numbers .  Your bound to find the owner that way.  Yes,  Just because a detector is a El Cheapo does not mean they can't perform.  ANY Detector is better then NO Detector.
