silver story from sweethome

(1/1)

GREY RIDER:
my grandfather and grandmother lived in Alabama survived the depression and did not trust the banks  for obvious reasons . they would bury their money my grand mother took a pair of old pants cut the leg out and sewed it into a bag put their coins in it .they buried it on their property  my grand father died in 58  and it was forgotten and the land sold to his brother . he would not let my grandmother retrieve it so she had to take him to court and  won she got to go back there and dig it up with a deputy escort  she gave each of her kids  a portion i have my mothers share its just 5 coins she had 9 kids lol!most are so wore you cant read the dates and not worth much if anything  but i would not sell just because of who it is from and what she had to go through to get it back  . i thought i would just share this story to keep me and the rest of you diggers pumped for the upcoming year mom told me this story and gave them to me about a year before she passed . i hope you enjoyed it . its out there people lost/ forgotten  in the ground and we are all rich  but we'll have to get out and  dig it up . HOPE THIS IS YOUR BEST YEAR  GOOD LUCK EVERYONE !
