Templar treasure in Lorraine? 01
Luc:
Several accounts provide explanations for the recent discovery of a hole in a field Langatte in Sarrebourg, Lorraine
A farmer has just made a strange discovery in a field of wheat falling nose-to-nose on a cylindrical hole with a diameter of 2.5 m and a depth of 5 m. This cavity is perfectly trimmed and cut into the clay, highly intriguing.

So for now and in the absence of obvious logical explanation, the inhabitants are forced to speculate. An old legend and remade local area. This suggests that a tunnel connected to the Middle Ages two important localities around Sarrebourg, that is to say the farm rinting and St. Ulrich, in which the apostles are buried in gold the size of a man. The tunnel was large enough that we can just pass a cart pulled by a horse. However, only expert geologists could come up in the mystery. Still, this strange phenomenon occurred on the assumed path of this tunnel. And then there is no question of belief but a fact. Another mystery remains. People wonder where in fact has been spending the earth, since there is no projection on the edge, as if the clay had been sucked to the bottom of the hole. Still, the operator would get answers, even if only to ensure that no more serious incident is likely to occur on the land he cultivates. All credible, they are nevertheless very difficult to verify in practice. But clues found in the area suggest that there is a network of underground tunnels in the basement of the Sarrebourg between rinting, Langatte and St. Ulrich.
If the farmer feels the heat by leaning over the hole, it is probably the air from a cavity buried in the ground that the principles have made geothermal hotter than the surface atmosphere. Similarly, there is much at rinting at least a beginning of the tunnel. In Upper Belltower also not present at the convent, but later, on the edge of the forest, on lands belonging to the former possession of St. Ulrich, the farm Fundenhoff. This is where a hole the size similar to that of Langatte was found. The building is actually a former commander of the Order of Teutonic Knights. The presence Teutonic no doubt. Evident traces remain, like an end cross, symbols of the orders of monks soldiers. Similarly, references in historical documents are numerous.

Recall that the order of Teutonic knights brother or hospital of Our Lady of the Germans, was founded during the Crusades in the Holy Land in the year 1190. It is a military hospital and whose original mission was to protect pilgrims en route to Jerusalem Germanic. Organized as a militia, these knights were financially supported by the established command posts in Europe, where they have become so powerful that they are behind the creation of Prussia. The Teutonic Order is attested early in Sarrebourg since its installation dates back to 1222. The Commandery was established in the field near St. Ulrich, an important Gallo-Roman site in a strategic position along the Roman road and where water flows in abundance in the basement. The Teutonic knights were probably recovered by opportunism and old galleries have developed and exploited to turn this underground network by consolidating and planning for their needs. The presence of these knights is reported to the fifteenth century. The Teutonic Order then possessed of privileges, major areas and tithe parish. It also benefited from donations and bequests. Note also that the Germans are behind the creation of the hospital Sarrebourg.
But in this history of orders and knights, the most intriguing is a plan set in stone on the crest Teutonic, which would indicate the path of the tunnels, their positions, their issues, and the location of sites Gold statues of the apostles. Twelve, as reported by a local legend and since he is also mentioned in popular accounts. Left to the sight of all, the plan says it can not be understood by the untrained eye. Some think it would be a card that gives access to a secret crypt. So therefore the existence of the crypt is allowed, all theories seem the most daring allowed. The cavity should at least contain relics and documents passed down from generation to generation and lost deep in the memories. Numbers of elders and reported the remarks of their parents and grandparents. The monks who occupied the site have borrowed these tunnels before their access will be closed in the hand of man for security.
Nevertheless, the work done in the past by famous fans give a very special highlight to the discoveries of recent days and led us on the trail of one of the most fantastic puzzles of history: the treasure of the Templars.
In the thirteenth century, amid a dispute with the Pope and debt, the king of France, Philip the Fair, said the hunt for the Templars, this order of knights in the Holy Land during the Crusades. It was the leak. The powerful order was disbanded. A convoy of three carts escorted then fled to Paris. If his destination remains unknown today, the track most likely leads to the ports of West and La Rochelle to join the British coast, including Scotland, where Templar survivors have founded the Freemasons, or the coast Portuguese. But historians speculate a decoy to divert the true destination, to Lorraine, along the old Roman road, highway real market of the time. The treasure was evacuated told the Salm family, to be then transmitted to the heirs of the Temple. In this context, he was reportedly taken to the powerful Abbey Salival Moselle. Templars were in any case already settled nearby at Vic-sur-Seille and Gelucourt.
To reinforce this theory, it appears that the archives of the Temple have been placed under protection Teutonic. Indeed, if the Templars were on the decline, the Teutonic Order was contrary to the rise. In 1780, workers have discovered a safe containing documents Templars in Maastricht, formerly dependence of Lorraine, under the ramparts of the Teutonic commander of the New-rods. Therefore, following the trail of Lorraine, where the convoy had actually followed the Paris Reims-Strasbourg route, he was very close to Sarrebourg, where transmission of documents and other objects of the Templars has been completed so remove them from the greed of the king of France. At the time, Salival was in Germanic territory, under Frederick I Barbarossa. The emperor had family links with Hugues, Count of Dabo and Metz. So that the Teutonic knights Sarrebourg could very well have been entrusted with the treasure of the Templars evacuated from Paris. The mystery remains, for now ..
