got my 2nd compadre 2 days ago. this one has a 7" coil, with a sensitivity modification knob fitted. my other compadre is standard with the 5.75 coil fitted. the new machine is awesome and will be my main detector . the depth is excellent, when you get a good target.... bang... you know it will be good. went out sunday for 2 hours, 40 keepers, 20 throwaway targets, it was dig after dig. you can keep your expensive detectors, i,ve tried them all. this is the one for me and i wont be changing it anyday soon.
