I just got my DeLeon. I have tested it but yet to use it in the field. Just wondering if anybody has used one. If so how has it treated you, Beale.

It is a very steady machine. Easy to use and running very stable. It won't let you down. By the way it is basically the same as the much more expensive Cortez.

Hey Christian thanks for the comment. The price difference on the 2 was the main factor for me getting the DeLeon. I agree they are basically equal. I am looking foward to testing it out. I just wish the rain would stop so I could hunt, Beale.

EBCIII

The DeLeon has the same circuitry as the Cortes but has several added features that in my opinion are well worth the extra cost if one has the $s available: 9 verses 5 segment bar graph, preset GB or manual GB verses preset GB, notch filter Disc.,and multiple tone ID in sum mode. These added feature on the Cortes are huge! If you love the Deleon you would be ecstatic over the Cortes.
As a Tesoro dealer I have used both of these machine extensively and the Cortes wins, hands down.     Joe
